This isn’t going to be a long read. but, it’s something I realized and made sense to me even though its so obvious.

After a long years of travel, experience of working in many places, meeting lots of people, and trying to figure out life, I’ve come to a conclusion that balances things out in my and other people’s life.

My conclusion is :

Enjoy the moment whilst thinking ahead for the moments to come and how to make best out f them.

Now! “enjoy” might mean different things and thats something up for people to decide and people would…

So, I’ve started reading this book called Factfullness (by Hans Rosling). Through reading a couple of chapters I’ve encountered much useful information. But, I only want to talk about a couple of points that I’ve found super useful in the book and I was able to use them as action points in my lifestyle right away.

Generalization

A quick example first to explain the idea faster:
The author was talking about a trip he did with his students to a country in Africa which wasn’t poor but not rich as well. While he was walking with his students on the trip they…

If you have a setup of an AWS infrastructure for your web platform. Then you’ve probably noticed some performance issues that might differ from older times where you see an increase over the days, or maybe you have multiple regions and you’re wondering why some regions are better than others.

In this case, try to look at what you’re load balancer is receiving, detecting, delegating, and responding to understand where’s the hiccup happening. (of course, we’re assuming that you’ve already checked the code for performance issues first).

This is going to be a very actionable blog. …

During my 7years of experience in Backend and DevOps I’ve realized over time that a platform that you help developing and maintain throughout the years is worth nothing if there was a security breach one day in the company, it will make the company lose credibility, peoples privacy and data, some times lots of money. So for me, It's a no-brainer thing to discuss or investigate how to tighten your security for your infrastructure in your current company or even if it was your own company.

Why?

Well, I can come up with many reasons why you’d want to do that…

Today while using Google’s search engine I’ve noticed something super weird, I think google knows exactly what I was going to search for. astonishing and scary at the same time. so, I did a bit of research.

New Google update?

I’ve done some research about this but couldn't find anything related to this topic in Google's release updates, which is weird, to be honest.

I’m pretty sure this was changed lately, and it seems like a big change. to give you more context or an example to see how it works check the example section below.

I’m a PHP developer myself, and I find using tools helps your productivity a lot, so I’ve put together a short list of things I usually use.

I’ve used a lot of AWS services lately, and I’ve come across multiple interesting services in AWS.

Most of them are related to cost management&saving, and security.

Here are a few of them:

A small background

I’ve lived abroad for quite some time now (around 6 years) over those years I’ve come to accept the fact that most people lack some certain type of soft skills. For me, the most obvious one was socializing.

I’ve realized that I'm shy, not comfortable in groups or being the center of attention, and don't know how to make new friends or acquaintances. That was an issue for me because it stood in the way of my work and my career progression. In general, the more you know people at work or the more people know you, the better chance…

An architecture of AWS services to serve a web application according to the latest best practices.

I’m going to build up a simple web application starting with as simple as code, and grow this until it becomes complicated with the latest best practices application.

0. Initial Parts

The first few things that must be done are to prepare your backend, FE, and your database structure to run locally at least. for the purpose of this exercise, we’re going to assume that your web application is using the LEMP stack. meaning:

  • Linux
  • Nginx
  • MySQL
  • PHP
